Punch Taverns, the country’s biggest pub company based here in Burton, has extended its hand once again and donated a much needed £1000 from its Punch Community Spirit Project to Xtreme, an outdoor activity group for local children.
Xtreme was set up in 2004 to give kids in the Stapenhill and Winshill areas an opportunity to get involved in a range of challenging and rewarding activities across Staffordshire and Derbyshire. Canoeing, archery, tubing and rock climbing are a few of the most popular activities among the group.
This year a second Xtreme group was launched to offer more young people the chance to get involved and leaders of the group approached Punch Taverns to help fund this. £1000 was donated so that more volunteers can be trained to lead the growing number of members and it will also go towards covering the cost of the activities.
The Punch Community Spirit Project (PCSP) is committed to making donations to a variety of organisations such as charities, schools, sports clubs, welfare groups and hospitals.
