Burton based pub company Punch Taverns has achieved its target of raising more than £5,000 towards the Queen’s Hospital Scanner Appeal.
Over the past year, employees at Punch’s Centrum 100 headquarters have supported a range of events, including a summer barbeque, Christmas party and raffles, to raise the funds through its Punch Community Spirit Project (PCSP).
Punch Taverns’ chief executive officer, Ian Dyson visited the Queen’s Hospital on Monday 14th to present the total donation of £5,048.26 to Queen’s Hospital Chairman, Jim Morrison.
Ian Dyson said: “We are delighted to have been able to add our support to the Queen’s Hospital Scanner Appeal. It’s such a worthy cause and will be a hugely important asset to the hospital and to the people of Burton.”
“There’s been a great effort from our teams in helping us achieve our £5,000 goal and we wish the Queen’s Hospital the best of luck with its ongoing fundraising efforts.”
Jim Morrison, chairman of Queen’s Hospital added: “We’re extremely grateful to Punch and its employees for their generous donation and ongoing support. Their donation is a big help towards us reaching our target of £500,000.”
