Punch provides phab support to local club

Burton based Pub Company Punch Taverns has donated £500 from its Punch Community Spirit Project towards a new minibus for the Burton Phab (Physically Disabled and Able Bodied) club.

The Phab club, whose members meet weekly, received vital funding towards to cost of a minibus so the group can travel for day’s outs and group holidays.

Vice Chairperson Ivy Neal, said: “We are really grateful to Punch for their kind donation. This money will make a huge difference to the group, as a mini bus is essential for us to travel on group excursions. We haven’t quite reached our target yet but Punch’s donation has given us a huge boost in the right direction!”

With a network of 200 clubs throughout England and Wales, the Phab club was set up in 1957 to encourage people of all abilities to come together on equal terms, to achieve complete inclusion within the wider community and engage in diverse activities.
