Punch make big cash donation scouts honour!

Burton based Pub Company Punch Taverns has donated a total of £1,500 from its Punch Community Spirit Project to three scouts groups across Derbyshire and Staffordshire.

The 1st Tutbury & Hatton Scouts, the 1st Whittington Scouts and the Seales & Linton Scouts groups have received vital funding to help provide essential equipment such as camping kits, including tents and cooking equipment, hike apparatus and to help with building a new meeting hall.

Scout leader Dave Holder, of the 1st Whittington Scouts, says: “We are really grateful to Punch for their kind donation. This money will make a huge difference to the boys in the group and to the leaders, as we will be able to provide a more modern scouts experience.

“It’s nice to see that big companies like Punch care about small teams like us. Thank you so much!”

The Punch Community Spirit Project (PCSP) is committed to making donations to a variety of organisations such as charities, schools, sports clubs, welfare groups and hospitals.
