Punch go the extra mile to raise over £500 for Sport Relief

Burton-based pub company, Punch Taverns, has raised £530 for Sport Relief by organising a series of fundraising events at their head office.

Staff at Punch’s Centrum 100 head office organised a tombola, silent auction, and even a Triathlon costing of a sports quiz, hula hoop and giant scaletrix competition in aid of Sport Relief on 20th March.

Jackie Burn, HR Director at Punch, said: “At Punch, we are always looking to support local charities through our Punch Community Promise scheme as well as national causes like Cancer Research and Sport Relief.

“We started to plan the some of the events, like the Tombola and Silent Auction, at the beginning of the year. Our employees have put a lot of time and effort in to make sure there were a range of activities on the day and the Hula Hoop competition was very interesting to watch!

“I am delighted with how much we have raised and I want to congratulate all our teams for their hard work co-ordinating the events and donating to such a worthy cause.

“Since January, we have already donated £1,200 to local causes through the Punch Community Promise and we are currently considering applications for fundraising from all local groups within the community.”
