Burton based Pub Company Punch Taverns has donated almost £600 from its Punch Community Spirit Project towards new equipment and training facilities for the Tutbury Cricket Club.
The Tutbury Cricket Club, based in Tutbury Mill, received vital funding towards improving the training facilities and equipment so the club, with three senior teams and five junior teams, can conform to Health and Safety standards.
Hon. Secretary Sharon Wesson, said: “We are really grateful to Punch for their kind donation. This money will make a huge difference to the teams, as our equipment was getting old and tired. The new equipment has really motivated the teams!”
The Tutbury Cricket Club belongs to the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), the governing body for all cricket in England and Wales.
