Pub company awarded top accolade

Two pubs owned by Burton-based pub company Punch Taverns have each received a prestigious award from Gamestec – the UK’s largest operator of pay-to-play gaming and amusement equipment.

The Lifeboat in Shirehampton, Bristol, won the award for most popular jukebox; while Tickety Boos in Dundee won most popular Category C amusement with prize gaming machine at the Gamestec ceremony.

Punch Taverns were presented with the awards at ICE Totally Gaming, held at London’s ExCeL on 5th February, where several pubs battled it out to be crowned the winner of seven different machine categories.

Judges praised Punch Taverns’ commercial team for its commitment to providing high levels of machine support to its partners. Peter Davies, Commercial Director of Gamestec commented: “Great products require dedicated support from staff who understand their machine roles and responsibilities inside out. These awards are testament to Punch Taverns’ ability to deliver on all those fronts.”

Julie Clamp, Machine Development Manager is delighted to receive this recognition: “We pride ourselves on offering a quality machine offer in our pubs, but it is important that we have the right machine for the right pub.

“At Punch, we are always looking to support our Partners and with the right machine, it can help the pub drive footfall and encourage customers to stay longer. I’m delighted that our pubs have been recognised and can be rewarded for their efforts.”
