Two Amble licensees are celebrating after a successful first year at the helm of the Harbour Inn.
Situated on Leazes Street, the Habour Inn has a strong following of regulars and is well-known for its family-friendly appeal and live music.
John Taylor and Suzanne Patterson, who started running the pub in May last year, commented: “For us, this is our first pub business and we have found it extremely hard work but we thoroughly enjoy it!” said Suzanne.
“John used to manage the pub, so knows it well and we have a great set of regulars that have really supported us”.
The pub is very active in the community, sponsoring the Northumberland Amateur Boxing and Fitness Club as well as organising charity fundraisers.
“We are planning to give the function room a bit of a makeover so we can cater for all events and we are also looking to introduce more food promotions and family entertainment,” Suzanne added.
Jason Ronan, Punch Taverns Partnership Development Manager said: “John and Suzanne are fantastic operators. They put their heart and soul into the pub and I want to congratulate them on their hard work over their first year. I look forward to working in partnership with John and Suzanne for years to come.”
